Everyone has received the new employee manual recently. We have been working very hard behind the scenes to keep the company moving forward and more importantly improving our operations. I personally attend a lot of meetings and trainings to better the company and I know what needs to be done. The challenge has been relaying that information to all of you and I am having a problem understanding why. I spend a lot of time preparing emails to share the information I gather regarding every aspect of our business and how to improve it but I don't think everyone is taking advantage of them. I want you to understand I don't do this for me. I want everyone to believe, enjoy and be successful in what we do here and I do my best to supply the tools and information you need to do just that.
The purpose of this email is to let everyone know going forward you will be held accountable for your actions or lack of action regarding our policies, goals and expectations. I will be following up, running reports and having random checks done on everything I send out and everything included in the employee manual. If you haven't read the manual I suggest you do so immediately and become very familiar with its content. It is in full effect this Friday. Everything included and expected is nothing more than what you should already be doing as an employee of the company. Take pride in what you do and do it to the best of your ability. Everyone has the spark within them to be the best. The question is will you feed it the kindling it needs to become a roaring unstoppable fire? I can provide all the information and tools you need to be successful but I can't do it for you. You have to want it for yourself. I won't drag anyone across the finish line but I will take you out of the race if necessary.
Here are some of my expectations of you. When I send out an email requesting your response I expect your response within the given time frame. When I send out a new procedure to be implemented I expect it to be implemented immediately. When I ask you to do something for the business I expect it to be done. I don't think this is too much to ask of you. I was little concerned that maybe I might come across a little harsh or too blunt but after thinking about it I believe this concentrated message is necessary. Here is an old adage for you to think about. "For those who understand no explanation is necessary. For those who don't, no explanation will do."
The holidays are here and we need to have a very strong finish this year. Make sure you are familiar with all the new devices and promotions and incorporate them into every presentation to every customer. Remember to start with abcd with everyone no matter what brings them in the store. Its game time folks!
Thanks
