Time Management

Hello Everyone,

The most precious gift we have in life is time. The manner in which we invest our time has the power to fulfill our lives beyond our wildest dreams. My joy in life is investing my time to inspire others to be all that they can be, to discover their life's purpose and to maximize their existence but I can only be successful to the degree that each makes a decision to go beyond where they are and that I invest my time with the right people. The choice to take action resides within each of us. For most folks taking action is too much trouble. This is why you have the proverbial 95%. Most are comfortable where they are even if they are comfortably miserable. Moving ahead, change, always has some degree of discomfort. But the pain of change is a minor discomfort compared to the rewards that are awaiting us. Having said that, your place in life is not for me to determine. It's none of my business and I certainly recognize that I have no right to inflict my goals on you.

However, When I look at this incredible opportunity, Market America, I must admit that I am puzzled why some folks sit on the sidelines when plugging themselves in and becoming proactive would reward them with incredible personal growth, abundance beyond belief and the fun that comes through achievement. Perhaps folks procrastinate because they don't understand the essence of the business which is about learning to present options to others. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Last week I sent out a Reality Check List. Part of the reason was to see who would return it and who wouldn't so I would know where to invest my time this year. Thanks both to those who did and those who didn't. You make my time management decisions easy for me. Then there are the tickets.  The importance of tickets to success was driven home time and again. Some got tickets, Some didn't. Those who didn't get tickets aren't in the game. Again, thanks to both groups. Your message is loud and clear. For those who aren't in the game, Next!

Take a minute though to think about the potential for success that you have in your hands. Do the math. Talking to two folks a day. 5 minutes or less of conversation. Sixty people a month. If just 10% expressed an interest in either saving money on stuff that they were already buying or at a back up financial plan, that's 6 folks a month that are interested. Select the best 1 out of 6. That's what I do. That's why I can honestly say that I turn down more people than I bring aboard.

Although the subject of the business may not always come up during an initial or even secondary conversation, I'm always interviewing. When I find the right candidate I bring that person on board with four tickets. If you do that in six months that's 30 tickets moved (including four for prospects). Why would you have less that 30 tickets in your pocket if you were truly interested in building a six figure income? What would 30 attendees do for your business? But you can't sell tickets you don't have. Just think though, if you pick the very best person out of 60 each month no doubt they would recognize that they, too, needed 30 tickets. Over 6 months that's 180 tickets. Compound that the second six months and multiply it by the BV and IBV through Transfer Buy and you're a Director in a year! Duh! It's happened dozens of times in my organization. You see this can build fast but you have to do something, just a little bit, each and every day. Persistence and consistence is the key.

Now, back to the beginning. As I said, my joy is investing my life with others who want more than they have Let me tell you about someone who is in the game. Ashley Bizzar in my Northern Virginia organization. This 27 year old gal wants more out of life than she has and has the guts to go for it. She inspires me and I would hope she inspires you. She's a diamond in the rough, much better than even she thinks she is. Every day since Conference she has booked one to three, three-way calls with me - usually two a day. I understand that she is working with Bill Fleishell. too. That's great! She's plugging in. As her internal network develops she will develop the skill to know with whom she should plug in each and every prospect she has. On occasion she has been stood up, humiliated and demoralized but yet she continues to drive though focusing on the process trusting that that the results will take care of themselves. With every call she learns more and gets better and better. This gal and her husband, Thomas, will be retired in a year or two if they continue forward with the drive and determination that they are exhibiting now. I will do everything within my power to help them succeed as will other successful MA distributors once they learn of her diligence. I can not tell you how excited I am for these folks and yet there are others, twice their age, with 3 or 4 times the contacts and a whole lot more business experience, that exhibit no drive or desire at all or at best a half-hearted effort. You see, everyone is where they want to be. Read Chapter 2, Be the Architect of your Destiny in Continuing the Journey. Use it as a wake up call if you need one. Or, if you are totally ecstatic about where you are in life and just want to use MA as a social mechanism that's fine with me and I'm happy for you, just know that MA is more than that for me. I'm looking beyond associating in a cookie club atmosphere. For me, it's a vehicle to help teach others how to achieve their dreams.

The point is, as I have said many times, I will meet but not exceed your commitment to yourselves. This is going to be an exciting year for Gingie and me as we seek out and redirect our time to those folks like Ashley who really want something more out of  life than they have, those who are willing to walk the walk, not just talk the talk.

It's later than you think!

Frank
